What is the purpose of the Spring Lake Schools Foundation?
Founded in 1983, the Foundation supplements the school district’s available funding to create innovative educational opportunities and maintain academic excellence.

How is the Foundation financially supported?
Foundation funds are contributed by individuals and businesses who are committed to educational excellence. Contributions may be designated for general support of the educational system or for specific projects.

Who determines how Foundation funds are allocated?
A Board of Directors, composed of citizens of the school district, determines how funds are utilized. The use of funds must be consistent with the educational goals, priorities, and strategies of the Spring Lake Board of Education.

What types of projects are funded by the Foundation?
Foundation funding focuses on the following:
• Projects that encourage academic excellence through innovative teaching.
• Projects which promote citizenship and the welfare of students.
• Projects which facilitate partnerships between the school and community.
